As always, we’ll keep things clear, calm, and curious. STORY 1: Roman Space Telescope Blasts Off to Map the Universe Our first story looks way, way up. NASA says its Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope launched from Florida on Sunday and successfully separated from its rocket. That means the telescope made it through an important early step on its trip to space. Roman is built to survey huge areas of the sky. Imagine trying to understand a giant library, not by reading one page at a time, but by taking in whole shelves at once. That is a little like what this telescope is designed to do with the universe.
